November Zine Workshop

  • Arts & Cultural Exchange Parramatta 8 Victoria Road Parramatta, NSW, 2150 Australia (map)

Learn to make a zine, work on your own publication, and connect with fellow zinesters.

The workshop will be facilitated by School of Zines’ creator and resident zinester, Aphrodite, and our very own poet, folklorist and crepuscular investigator of raccoon culture, Vivian Pham.

Vivian is a Vietnamese-Australian novelist, essayist and poet from southwestern Sydney. She is the author of the novel The Coconut Children, published to critical acclaim by Penguin Random House in 2020. Written during high school and published when she was 19, it tells the story of childhood friends Sonny and Vince growing up in 1990s Cabramatta. This led to Vivian being named one of the Sydney Morning Herald’s Best Young Australian Novelists in 2021, as well as the Matt Richell Award for New Writer of the Year at the Australian Book Industry Awards.
